Marc Sony Ricot studied journalism in Port-au-Prince. For the past six years, he has worked as a journalist and columnist for Le Nouvelliste, Haiti’s largest daily newspaper. Presenter of the podcast “Des fous et des dieux” on Palmes Magazine, he is a founding member of the “Kettly Mars” literary club in Cité Soleil and has been a member of the Executive Council of the Observatoire africain des professionnels de l’édition (OAPE) since 2024.

 

A former head librarian at the Tabarre municipal library, he has a passion for jazz and literature. He writes numerous columns on books and reading for “Le Nouvelliste”. He has just published a book entitled “Secrets d’écrivain et mystère de la lecture” (Writers’ secrets and the mystery of reading), published by C3 Éditions, which brings together several leading figures in Haitian literature, including Dany Laferrière, Kettly Mars and even Evelyne Trouillot.
