Marc Sony Ricot studied journalism in Port-au-Prince. For the past six years, he has worked as a journalist and columnist for Le Nouvelliste, Haiti’s largest daily newspaper. Presenter of the podcast « Des fous et des dieux » on Palmes Magazine, he is a founding member of the « Kettly Mars » literary club in Cité Soleil and has been a member of the Executive Council of the Observatoire africain des professionnels de l’édition (OAPE) since 2024.

 

A former head librarian at the Tabarre municipal library, he has a passion for jazz and literature. He writes numerous columns on books and reading for « Le Nouvelliste ». He has just published a book entitled « Secrets d’écrivain et mystère de la lecture » (Writers’ secrets and the mystery of reading), published by C3 Éditions, which brings together several leading figures in Haitian literature, including Dany Laferrière, Kettly Mars and even Evelyne Trouillot.
