  poet\, novelist\, playwright and critic. He is the founder and editor-in-
 chief of TheAfricanGriot.com and the regional editor of TheTheatreTimes.co
 m. His first book\, When the Whirlwind Passes\, was Africa's first digital
  novel. He has since published fourteen other books\, including The Moon I
 s Made of Green Cheese\, Kiss\, Commander\, Promise\, Disco Matanga and Ki
 ng Bure Is Dead! Some of his books have been translated into Arabic\, Japa
 nese\, Chinese\, Kiswahili\, French\, Swedish\,Dholuo\, Gikuyu and Czech. 
 In 2017\, Business Daily named him one of Kenya's "Top 40 Men Under 40". I
 n 2023\, he won a Jury Prize in the Sahitto International Literature Award
 s and a SEVHAGE-Agema Founders' Prize for African Criticism.\n\nAbout OAPE
  AFRICA:\n\nThe African Observatory of Publishing Professionals (OAPE AFRI
 CA) is a pan-African non-profit organisation that brings together many pla
 yers in the book value chain and carries out activities in several African
  and Caribbean countries. Founded in 2018\, OAPE works to promote publishi
 ng\, its players\, professions and products. It also conducts studies\, re
 flections and consultations on publishing in Africa. It supports book dist
 ribution initiatives and organises events in this field. The organisation 
 publishes specialist publishing journals and encourages good publishing pr
 actice. OAPE also supports the training of book and publishing professiona
 ls.
